Each team member of Jurmaine Health recognises the connection each and every part of your body and brain has to your ongoing health.
Our ‘whole person’ approach and absolute purpose is to improve your wellness and minimise or resolve pain. Our process includes thorough assessment, practical treatments for a range of conditions and body-related issues, exercise regimes and ongoing training, if needed.
Common Conditions Assessed:
Neuromusculoskeletal Assessment & Management
Our team of non-surgical spinal specialists focus on movement rehabilitation for movement dysfunction and soft tissue management. We achieve best possible outcomes for your neuromusculoskeletal wellbeing with a combination of effective techniques and practical treatments that include Active Release Technique (ART), Thomas Myers fascia work, Biomechanics and strength and conditioning training.
Sports, Dance & Fitness Injuries
The Jurmaine team work with athletes across various sports, dance and/or fitness professions, as well as personal pursuits. Treating the presenting injury/symptom is often only the start of the recovery/healing process. After assessment and treatment, specific exercises tailored for the individual aid the rate of recovery. We offer individual movement training sessions and packages to improve recovery times and ensure better outcomes.
When most people think of rehab, they assume that there has been trauma to a particular area and that is the area being targeted in order to be ‘rehabilitated’ or returned to its prior functional level.
Athlete Performance & Recovery
Sports injuries are not only extremely common, but can also have long-term effects on an athlete – especially when treated incorrectly or neglected. Jurmaine Health has a range of athlete recovery and performance-management programs that have been carefully designed to help athletes and sports clubs identify physical vulnerabilities, preventing injury and assisting rehabilitation and recovery processes.
The Jurmaine Health team is highly-trained to identify the cause of your health issues – and create personalised treatment plans that help you enjoy real results. Whether you need a serious sports injury treated for a sustainable health solution, or are simply seeking quick relief from back pain; our team of qualified chiropractors look after every aspect of your needs, with advice, hands-on techniques and adjustments as well as professional insights.
Jurmaine Health Physiotherapists are highly trained and caring health professionals who work in partnership with you to help you get better and stay well. Using advanced techniques our physiotherapists assess your various concerns such as neck and shoulder pain in a holistic way, work out a treatment plan in consultation with you that will relieve your current condition or concern as well as prevent ongoing problems.
Active Release Therapy
Active Release Technique (ART) is a hands-on soft tissue diagnostic and management system that corrects muscular and soft tissue problems such as back pain, sport injuries and whiplash caused by the formation of adhesive tissues due to overuse or cumulative trauma.
At Jurmaine Health, we help achieve optimal tissue texture and motion, restoring the function of the soft tissue, while releasing any entrapped nerves or blood vessels.
At Jurmaine Health, we are Chiropractors and Physiotherapists but offer assessment and treatment focussed on positive outcomes – not ongoing business. We are commonly known for our expertise in movement mechanics and active release techniques [link here] and are often called upon to assess patients before surgery intervention. We help resolve issues such as concussion and whiplash, chronic injuries and conditions and patients through NDIS as well.
